Raised on an orchard in Oliver, BC, Dr. Amit Chahal brings a deep-rooted sense of community and a hard-working Okanagan spirit to his practice. After completing his BSc in Microbiology at UBC Okanagan, he moved to Portland Oregon to attend the University of Western States. There, he earned both his Bachelor’s in Human Biology and his Doctor of Chiropractic, graduating summa cum laude.
Dr. Chahal’s approach to musculoskeletal pain goes far beyond the traditional “pop and crack.” He utilizes an evidence-informed toolkit designed for modern healthcare. Rather than relying on a single method, he integrates multiple treatments and modalities including spinal and extremity manipulation and mobilization, spinal decompression, soft tissue therapy, Class 4 laser therapy, radial shockwave therapy, and functional rehabilitation. This comprehensive approach reflects the shift in progressive MSK care, focusing on functional recovery and evidence based treatments.
A cornerstone of Amit’s practice is patient education; he empowers individuals with an understanding of their own body as an essential component for lasting results. While he welcomes patients aged five and up, Amit has a special interest in sports injuries and helping active individuals return to the movement they love.
When he isn’t at the clinic, you’ll likely find him on a pickleball court, at the gym, or exploring the outdoors. Amit, his wife Parveen, and their Labradoodle Leo have been in the upper mission since 2022.
